New GoCar Service at Malahide Marina

Whether it’s for a quick trip to the shops to restock the boat, exploring the local area, or simply running an errand, having flexible transport right here at the marina makes life easier. That is why we are thrilled to announce our new partnership with GoCar, Ireland's leading car sharing service, to bring convenient vehicle rental directly to our berth holder right in our marina.

What is GoCar?

GoCar allows you to rent cars and vans by the hour or day, offering a flexible alternative to traditional car ownership or rental. It works through a simple app-based system: you book, unlock, and drive away, all from your smartphone. Best of all, fuel, insurance, and tax are included in the price.

We now have two GoCar vehicles stationed on-site at Malahide Marina, ready for you to book for as little as one hour. It’s the perfect solution for those short trips when you need wheels without the hassle.

  1. Download the App: Get the GoCar app for free on iOS or Android.
  2. Register: Sign up at www.gocar.ie. Registration is free.
  3. Validate Your Licence: Important: It can take up to 2 hours to validate your driving licence, so we recommend signing up before you need the car to ensure you are ready to go when you need it.
  4. Book: Use the app or website to reserve one of the cars at Malahide Marina.
  5. Unlock & Drive: Use the app to unlock the vehicle and start your journey.

How to Claim Your 10% Discount

The discount code can be entered directly into the booking screen on the app or website when you reserve a vehicle (see the image below for where to enter it).

Where to get the code:

This exclusive discount is available only to current Malahide Marina berth holders. To receive your code:

  • Visit the Marina Office in person.

  • Email us at info@malahidemarina.ie with your berth details, and we will verify your status and send you the code directly.
